Fundamentals Trade Desk Training Path

This page turns the Fundamentals Trade Desk into a disciplined first-pass conviction workflow. The point is not to scan the whole market from scratch. The point is to bring in a ticker or shortlist you already care about, understand the company and near-term risk, frame the business from the annual picture, surface the main red flags, and finish with a clear keep, pass, or research deeper decision.

Desk job: make the first evidence-based conviction call Goal: turn a ticker or shortlist into a clear keep / pass / research deeper decision Final deliverable: snapshot, risk notes, annual frame, red flags, committee verdict, next step

        What You Should Leave With

This desk works only if you leave with a decision and the evidence behind it, not a vague feeling that the company looks interesting.

        • Company snapshot: what the company is and what obvious near-term risk is in front of it.
        • Annual business frame: the multi-year business story from the filing-level read.
        • Forensic red-flag map: the biggest strengths, concerns, and quality issues surfaced early.
        • Committee verdict: the strongest challenge to the thesis and what still holds up after the multi-angle review.
        • Decision: keep, pass, or research deeper.

        Begin With A Name

This desk is not meant to replace the discovery desks. It is meant to judge a company once you already have a reason to care about it.

        • Good inputs: a ticker from Opening Bell, Sector Rotation, 24/7 News, a watchlist, or your own outside research.
        • Why this matters: it keeps the desk focused on conviction instead of turning it into another scanner wall.
        • If you have several names: use the same process on each one, then use AI Investment Committee only after the core evidence pass when you want a multi-angle final challenge on the surviving names.

How To Think About The Tools

        • StockPro Terminal: take in the ticker, company snapshot, and obvious near-term news, earnings, and filing risk.
        • 10-K Command Center: frame the actual business story with a slower annual read.
        • Forensic Command Center: do the cross-domain quality and red-flag pass before deeper lab work.
        • AI Investment Committee - Watch List: finish the first-pass conviction review with a multi-angle committee challenge on the surviving name or watchlist.
        • Financial Intelligence, single-domain forensics, and Valuation Lab: use them only after the desk says the idea deserves deeper work.

What To Look For In Each Step

Use each step the same way so the workflow becomes repeatable when you run it on your own:

        • Why this step exists: what the function is supposed to do for you right now.
        • What you are trying to accomplish: the goal of the step.
        • What must come out of it: the output you carry into the next step.
